Transferring Assets from Taiko L2
Transferring Assets from Taiko Alethia
To transfer assets out of your Loopring Wallet on the Taiko Alethia network, you'll need to ensure you have ETH available on Taiko Alethia to cover gas fees. This guide walks you through two main paths, depending on whether you already have ETH on Taiko.
Prerequisite: ETH is Required for Gas
Transactions on Taiko Alethia require ETH for gas. If you don’t already have ETH on your Loopring Wallet’s Taiko Alethia account, follow one of the paths below.
Path 1: I Already Have ETH on My Loopring Wallet (Taiko)
If your Loopring Wallet on Taiko Alethia has ETH, you can skip directly to the final step:
Open the Loopring Wallet app.
Tap on the asset you want to transfer.
Select Send to Another Taiko Account.
Enter your EOA (Externally Owned Account) wallet address as the recipient.
Confirm and complete the transfer.
Your funds will be moved from your Loopring Wallet to your EOA wallet over the Taiko Alethia network.
Path 2: I Don’t Have ETH on Taiko Yet
If you don’t have ETH on your Taiko Alethia account yet, follow these steps to bridge it in from Ethereum L1:
Step 1: Withdraw ETH from Loopring L2 to Ethereum L1
In the Loopring Wallet app, from your Loopring L2 account go to L2 Send.
Select To Another Ethereum L1 Account (incl. Exchange).
Enter your EOA wallet address as the recipient.
Confirm the transaction. This will send ETH from Loopring L2 to your EOA wallet’s Ethereum L1 account.
Step 2: Bridge ETH from Ethereum L1 to Taiko Alethia
Connect using your EOA wallet.
Use the bridge to send ETH from Ethereum L1 to Taiko Alethia.
Set your Loopring Wallet address as the recipient on Taiko.
This bridges ETH from your EOA’s Ethereum L1 account to your Loopring Wallet’s Taiko Alethia account.
Step 3: Send Funds from Loopring Wallet to EOA on Taiko Alethia
Now that your Loopring Wallet has ETH on Taiko Alethia:
In the Loopring Wallet app, tap on the asset you want to send.
Select Send to Another Taiko Account.
Enter your EOA wallet address.
Confirm and complete the transaction.
Notes
Always double-check addresses and network settings before transferring assets.
